KNURE is among the leaders of the Kharkov Student Chess League
Competitions of the Kharkov Student League in chess took place, in which 14 institutions of higher education in the city took part. The tournament brought together the strongest student chess players in Kharkov and became a true test of intelligence, endurance and teamwork.
The Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics is especially worth noting, because it was KNURE that became the only university that presented three teams at once. This once again confirms the active development of the chess movement at the university, the popularization of intellectual sports among students and the high level of training of athletes.
In a fierce struggle, the KNURE teams showed decent results:
1 team – 2nd place
2nd team – 9th place
3rd team – 11th place
The composition of the first team of KNURE:
Yaroslav Ship (ITINF-24-1)
Ivan Tokarev (KNT-23-1)
Maxim Pivovarov (EEK-22-1)
Victor Yavtushenko (TRIMI-24-1)
Second team composition:
Danil Safonov (KIUKI-24-1)
Grigory Kutsin (KSTZI-25-1)
Ekaterina Gotsulyak (PZPI-22-6)
Ivan Vinnikov (ITSHI-23-1)
Third team composition:
Mikhail Shevtsov (PZPI-24-4)
Anton Boyko (KIUKI-24-3)
Stanislav Ena (ITINF-24-1)
Today, chess is not only a sport, but also an important tool for developing logical thinking, strategic planning and the ability to make quick decisions. KNURE actively supports the development of intellectual sports, and the participation of three teams in prestigious student competitions demonstrates the high level of student interest in chess.
We congratulate the athletes on a worthy performance and wish them new victories and success in future tournaments!
