KNURE student Nikita Zmievsky is the European U20 basketball champion

From July 10 to July 19, 2026, the European Basketball Championship among men’s teams U20 (Division B) was held in Bratislava (Slovakia). In the prestigious international tournament, the Ukrainian youth team demonstrated a high level of skill, winning gold medals in the championship and earning a ticket to Division A.
Student of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics Nikita Zmievsky, a student of the AKTAKIT-24-2 group, performed as part of the Ukrainian youth team.
The Ukrainian national team became the champion of FIBA U20 EuroBasket Division B for the first time in history, finishing the tournament without losing. In the final match, Ukrainian basketball players defeated the Icelandic team with a score of 74:64, demonstrating unity, strength of character and a high level of preparation.
Nikita Zmievsky’s performance as a member of the national youth team of Ukraine is a significant sporting achievement and confirmation of the high level of training of students of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics.
