Symposium “Education and health of the younger generation”

On May 11-14, 2021, the III International Symposium “Education and Health of the Younger Generation” was held, dedicated to the Day of Europe in Ukraine and the 15th anniversary of training a teacher of the basics of health in Ukraine.

The main areas of work of the symposium:

  • Philosophy and methodology of health protective education.
  • State and educational and methodological support of teacher training in the basics of health: domestic and world experience.
  • Modern technologies for the formation of the personality of a specialist in the basics of health, physical education, physical rehabilitation, psychologist, ecological naturalistic and health education.
  • Medico-biological and valeo-psychological peculiarities of working with persons with special educational needs.
  • Health education in educational institutions of Ukraine and other countries of the world in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Modern approaches to creating a health protective educational environment in an educational institution.
  • Medical care for subjects of the educational process: experience and development prospects in modern conditions.
  • Medical-biological and valeo-psychological component of the teacher’s professional competence.
  • Personal health culture as a health strategy of protective and environmentally safe behavior.

Andrey Litvinenko, Candidate of Science in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, took part in the symposium on behalf of KNURE.

The report “Health-improving means of Ukrainian combat culture in the education of students” indicates that the time-tested health-improving and training means of Ukrainian national types of martial arts, in particular horting, are widely used to improve the health of students at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. Horting is a modern national sport recognized by the state, based on the glorious fighting traditions of the Zaporozhye Cossacks. It is shown that systemic scientific research, carried out by a group of teachers of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of KNURE, gives a high efficiency of methods for improving the Ukrainian combat culture. The results of these studies are presented in publications in the second quartile journal Sport Mont (DOI: 10.26773 / smj.201008, DOI: 10.26773 / smj.210219), is a contribution to the achievement of CSR 3 – ensuring a healthy lifestyle and promoting well-being for all at all ages.
