DEAR COLLEAGUES, ATHLETES, COACHES!!

Today the whole world joins in the celebration of the International Day of Sports for Peace and Development!

Dear students! Department of PhES starts distance learning. Considering the conditions and condition of all of us today, we offer you our classes as one of the ways to deal with stress. During a workout, you can at least briefly disconnect from the endless stream of news and shift the focus of attention to the body. In addition, regular physical activity will help keep the body in good shape and will contribute to better health and emotional state. Therefore, if possible, at least small sets of exercises should be included in the daily routine. Start with short workouts. Recover gradually and remember that even 10 minutes of sports a day is better than nothing.

KIU faculty student Yekaterina Vashchenko (gr. KIUKI-20-5) took third place in the 100m distance at the first (FISU) World Cup in Finswimming, held on April 1-2 in Lignano Sabba, Italy.

Congratulations to the student of the group KIUKIu-21-1 of the faculty of KIU Daria Lichman with the victory in the Kharkov Open Cheerleading Championship among adults, which took place on 12.02.2022.

Unity Day was held at the Department of Physical Education and Sports of KNURE on February 16, 2022.

On February 12, 2022, the Sambo Championship of the Kharkov Region was held at the SC NAU “KhAI”.

A student of the group EEK-18-1 Mikhail Zakin took 1st place.

From February 12 to 13, Ivano-Frankovsk hosted the final competitions of the XVII Summer Universiade of Ukraine in taekwondo (WTF), in which Elizaveta Khristenko, a student of the Faculty of Infocommunications, master of sports of Ukraine, took part. In duels with the best masters of taekwondo, Elizaveta demonstrated the perfect fighting technique and high fighting spirit inherent in the best athletes of Ukraine, became the winner of the competition and joined the national team of our country to participate in the World Universiade in China.

On April 3, 2022, the Department of Family, Youth and Sports of the Kharkov City Council plans to hold one of the brightest sporting events of the year – the VIII Kharkov International Marathon.

Marathon at a distance of 4.2 km and 10 km free of charge.

On February 5, the All-Ukrainian karate competitions were held in the sports complex of the School of Higher Sportsmanship, in which Dmitry Dudka, a student of the faculty of KIU, took part. In tense fights, he defeated all rivals and took first place.

On February 5-6, 2022, the championship of the Kharkov region in classic powerlifting and classic bench press among adults and juniors was held. Students of our university took part in these competitions: KMSU Igor Lukienko (KITPVm-21-1); KMSU Victoria Akhremenko (DSm-21-1); repeated absolute champion of the Kharkov region Oleksandr Narvatov (PZPI-19-2), debutants of these competitions Konstantin Bondarenko (PZPI-21-3); Pilyuk Lara (KUIB-20-1); Nikita Bobkov (AKTAKIT-20-3), as well as Fabrovan Rustam (EEPS-19-1), who for the first time fulfilled the standard of a candidate for the master of sports of Ukraine in classical powerlifting.

Athletes showed excellent results in power triathlon and in a separate exercise, bench press, having won six gold medals, three silver and one bronze.

On January 27-30, 2022, the Ukrainian Sambo Championship among senior youths was held in the city of Lviv. Vitaliy Kucherenko, a student of the KI-21-7 group, took the 3rd place in the 98 kg weight category.
