Dear colleagues, the Department of Physical Education and Sports invites you to take part in the Health Marathon project, which will be held from January 31 to February 4, 2022 in the sports halls of the university (4th floor of the main building).

With an excellent result in the competition, a student of our university, who is engaged in the section of strength sports, completed the sports calendar year 2021.

28.12.2021 Ivan Golubinsky (PZPI-21-11) at the weightlifting championship of the Kharkov region took second place in the weight category up to 89 kg, with a result in the combined combined event of 229 kg (snatch – 102 kg; clean and jerk – 127 kg).

The KNURE Championship in the classical bench press was held among students of 1-5 courses. Young men and women of our university, who are engaged in specialization and in the group of sports improvement in powerlifting, took part in these competitions. According to the results of the competition, the champions and prize-winners in 6 weight categories were determined:

From 10 to 12 December, the 8th World Championship in Cossack duel took place at the Lokomotiv Sports Palace, in which more than 600 athletes from 7 countries took part. The Ukrainian national team included students of our university, Masters of Sports of Ukraine Veronika Govorova and Veronika Roshka, as well as Associate Professor of the Department of Media Systems and Technologies, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine Yulia Dorofeeva. The athletes confirmed the high reputation of Kharkov sports: Veronika Govorova and Yulia Dorofeeva became world champions, and Veronika Roshka won a silver medal.

12.12.2021 in the building of culture of KhTP took place the Championship of the Kharkov region in sambo wrestling. Students of our University have won 2 gold and one bronze medals. Vitaly Kucherenko gr. KI-21-7 I m.

On December 1, in the sports hall of KNURE, with the support of the Boxing Federation of the Kharkov region, an open championship was held, in which students, teachers and future applicants of our University took part. The competitions were held in a warm, friendly atmosphere of the sports society and became the basis for the further formation of the national team to participate in regional boxing competitions.

On November 19-21, the All-Ukrainian volleyball tournament in memory of the HC of Ukraine Vladimir Ponomarenko took place.

In the nomination “Sports youth” the men’s national team of KNURE took 2st place!

On November 18-19, the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute hosted the Badminton Championship of the Higher educational institution in Kharkov. The team consisted of 6 people: A. Botsyura SPRM-21-1; A. Mustesov BIBMI-19-1; V. Tisheninova PZPI-19-1; A. Shukalova KIUKI-19-3; M. Kalyuzhnaya VPVPS-20-4; M. Osinskaya CTSA-21-1.

In the hardest struggle, our national team took the third place, passing ahead only the KhPI-1 and KhPI-2 teams, which included the strongest athletes of the Ukrainian national team and prize-winners of the European championships. In the mixed category, a pair of A. Mustetsov and A. Shukalova entered the final and took the honorable 2nd place.

From 05 to 08 November in the city of Melitopol took place the championship of Ukraine in the national type of combat sports – horting, in which the student of the Faculty of Computer Science Veronika Govorova took part. The performance turned out to be successful: in a tense struggle, Veronika became a champion and won the right to represent our country in the 2022 European Horting Championship as part of the Ukrainian national team.

Last week there was an example of a charity basketball tournament “Sports to Help Children”.

8 teams took part in the competition. The games lasted 3 days. Four teams reached the final: Legion, Mikhalich, KhNURE, Team HA. All teams showed an excellent basketball game!
