At a meeting of the rector’s office, NURE Rector Igor Ruban ceremoniously presented the Cup to the university’s national chess team for first place among higher education institutions in the city of Kharkov.
The team included:
Yaroslav Ship – team captain, ITINF-24-1 group;
Ivan Tokarev, KNT-23-1 group; Maxim Pivovarov, EEK-22-1 group.
Natalia Didyuk, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, was especially recognized for her active support of sports development at KNURE, facilitating athlete training and their participation in competitions.

On November 14, a chess tournament dedicated to International Students’ Day was held in Kharkov.
Eighteen teams from Kharkov higher education institutions participated in the tournament.
The tournament once again demonstrated the strength, talent, and unity of Kharkov’s student chess community.
Thank you to all the players for their character, intellectual challenge, and athletic drive – you made this day truly special.
Three teams from our university participated in the Tournament.
1st place – the first team consisting of:
1. Yaroslav Shipp – captain of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics team, student of the ITINF-24-1 group,
2. Ivan Tokarev, of the KNT-23-1 group,
3. Maxim Pivovarov, of the EEK-22-1 group.
8th place – third place team consisting of:
1. Ivan Vinnikov, group ITSHI-23-2,
2. Egor Patlan, group KSTZI-22-1,
3. Sofia Chebotareva, applicant.
11th place – second place team consisting of:
1. Vladislav Propust, group ITSHI-23-2,

The results of the Kharkov Student Armwrestling League competition held on October 19 have been summed up.
Our University’s competitors were:
Daniil Lutskov, group KIUKI-23-4
Gleb Kopyltsov, group BIBMI-24-1
Maxim Novikov, group MNTMN-24-1
Alexander Polupan, group SPm-25-1
All students reached the competition finals, with Daniil Lutskov and Alexander Polupan taking second and third place.
The KNURE team took second place overall.

Swimming competition SWIM 95

On October 21, the SWIM 95 swimming competition was held at the Aquarena swimming pool.
Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff members participated in the competition.
These competitions not only honor this important date but also promote a healthy lifestyle, develop physical fitness, and strengthen team spirit among the university community.
The competition participants were congratulated by Yuri Romanenkov, Vice-Rector for Research at Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, Doctor of Engineering, Professor; Oleg Frolenko, Assistant to the Rector; and Maxim Bondarev, General Director of the Aquarena Olympic Center.
The competition was held in a friendly yet intense athletic atmosphere.
43 athletes participated in the 50-meter freestyle.
The winners among students, female athletes, were:
1st place – Sofia Shmatko, group KUIB-22-1
2nd place – Ekaterina Alekseeva, group PZPI-23-4
3rd place – Irina Melnik, group VPVSS-25-1
The winners among the guys were:
1st place – Denis Skofenko, LOETm-24-1 group
2nd place – Alexander Petrikov, PZPI-22-1 group
3rd place – Alexey Efimov, KUIB-24-1 group.
Female faculty:
1st place – Tatyana Trunova, Senior Lecturer, MST Department

On October 15, 2025, the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics hosted a chess tournament dedicated to the University’s 95th anniversary.
Thirty-four participants, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff, participated in the competition.
This was more than just a game, but a true test of strategy, logic, and tactics.
The student winners were:

World Veterans Volleyball Championship

The 2025 World Veterans’ Volleyball Championship was held in Benidorm, Spain, from October 7 to 12.
Sixteen teams participated in the men’s 56+ category, which included the Ukrainian 60+ team.
The Ukrainian national team became World Champions.
The champion team included Igor Kondratiev, head of the training laboratory at the Physical Activity Department. Congratulations to the team and Igor Kondratieva on winning this prestigious competition!

For the 95th anniversary of Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, a pull-up and push-up competition was held

To celebrate the 95th anniversary of Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, the Department of Physical Education and Sports held the “PULL-UP 95” competition, a pull-up competition for boys, and the “FLOOR POWER 95” floor push-up competition for girls.
The competition took place from September 29 to October 2, 2025, and brought together the most active students, demonstrating strength, endurance, and true athletic spirit.
The participants demonstrated a high level of preparation and a thirst for victory, confirming that sports are an integral part of student life at KNURE.
Following the competition, the winners were determined:
“PULL-UP 95” boys’ pull-up:
1st place – Anton Shikitka, group PZPI-24-7, with 31 score.
2nd place – Bogdan Fedorets, group KNT-25-1, with 29 score.
3rd place – Maxim Glebov, group KNT-25-1, with 28 score.
“FLOOR POWER 95” with floor push-ups for girls:
1st place – Nadezhda Leonova, group VPVSS-25-1, with 30 score.
Anastasia Naboka, group PZPI-24-1, with 30 score.
Sofia Trubchaninova, group VPVPS-23-1, with 30 score.
2nd place – Valeria Shuldiner, group KIUKI-24-1, with a score of 26.
3rd place – Sofia Shmatko, group KUIB-22-1, with a score of 24.
The students proved that a generation is growing at KNURE that values exercise, health, and team spirit.
It was a truly athletic celebration that left them feeling energized and proud of their university.
