A KNURE student successfully competed at the Ukrainian Classic Powerlifting Championships.

The Ukrainian Classic Powerlifting Championships took place on April 25, bringing together the strongest athletes from across the country.
Vladislav Maryukhnich, a student in the KIUKI-25-2 group, represented the university at the competition, demonstrating a high level of physical fitness and athletic skill.
Following his performance, the athlete won a small silver medal in the bench press with a lift of 157,5 kg in the 93 kg weight category.
Furthermore, Vladislav achieved the Candidate Master of Sports of Ukraine (CMSU) standard in triathlon, a significant achievement and a testament to his hard work and determination.
We congratulate Vladislav Maryukhnich on his outstanding results and wish him continued success and victories in national and international competitions!

Conducting a joint career guidance event for schoolchildren in Bogodukhov

In order to popularize educational programs and familiarize students with educational opportunities, a joint event was held for schoolchildren in Bogodukhov at the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics.
The event was organized by the Department of Information Systems and Technologies (IST) of the Faculty of Information Technology under the leadership of the head of the department, Professor O. Chalaya, as well as the Department of Physical Education and Sports (PES), headed by Associate Professor N. Didyuk.
During the event, presentations were made by the Chairman of the KNURE sports club O. Konovalenko. and Professor of the Department of Information Technology N. Aksak, who introduced schoolchildren to the educational opportunities of the university, the characteristics of training and prospects for professional development.
Participants of the event had the opportunity to learn about the main areas of training, admission conditions, student life and the combination of training with physical activity. Particular attention was paid to the importance of the harmonious development of the individual – both intellectual and physical.
The event was held in a friendly and interactive atmosphere, contributed to increasing students’ interest in obtaining higher education and helped them better navigate their choice of future profession.
Such career guidance initiatives are an important step in forming a conscious choice of the professional path of future applicants.

Successful performance of a KNURE student at the ITF European Taekwon-Do Championship

From April 19 to 25, the ITF European Taekwon-Do Championship was held on the island of Crete (Greece), in which the strongest athletes from different European countries took part.
A student of the ITINF-23-2 group, Vlada Varvashevich, worthily represented the university at international competitions and demonstrated a high level of preparation, strength of character and sportsmanship.
At the end of the championship, the athlete received:
2nd place – sparring (women 18–34 years old, up to 47 kg)
3rd place – team tulle (women 18–34 years old)
The results achieved are a testament to hard work, determination and dedication to the sport.

On April 25–26, the Czech Republic hosted the international “World Cup” competition in Shotokan karate-do, which brought together strong athletes from around the world.
A student of the KBICS-23-2 group, Veronica Mokroy, worthily represented her university on the international stage and demonstrated a high level of training and sportsmanship.
According to the results of the competition, Veronica received:
1st place – kata (category U20)
1st place – kata (Senior category)
2nd place – kumite (category U20)
This result is a confirmation of the hard work, fortitude and high level of the athlete.

Victory of a KNURE student at the Ukrainian Championship in acrobatic rock and roll

On April 25, 2026, the Ukrainian Championship in acrobatic rock and roll took place in Kyiv – one of the most prestigious tournaments in the country, uniting the strongest athletes from different regions.
A high level of preparation and a brilliant performance was demonstrated by Timur Khapersky, a student from the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics (group AKTSI-25-1). In a tense competition, he won first place in the Main Class Contact Style category, confirming his high sports class and skill.
The competition was highly competitive, as the Main Class Contact Style category featured athletes of the highest level, demonstrating complex acrobatic elements, speed, technique and artistry. Winning such a category is a significant achievement and demonstrates persistent preparation and dedication to the sport.
In addition to his sporting achievements, Timur Khapersky actively manifests himself in the public life of the university. By his example, he motivates students to play sports and actively participate in university initiatives. He is responsible for sports and mass work in the Student Senate, as well as assistant to the Chairman of the KNURE sports club – Oksana Konovalenko.
This success became the pride of not only the athlete himself, but also the university, because the achievements of students at the all-Ukrainian level increase the prestige of the educational institution and popularize a healthy lifestyle among young people.

Career guidance event in the city of Lozovaya: a step towards a conscious choice of future profession

On April 22, 2026, a career guidance event was held in the city of Lozovaya, organized on the initiative of the Department of Physical Education and Sports (ARI LBI) under the leadership of the head, Associate Professor Natalya Didyuk, as well as the Department of Information Systems and Technologies (KIIT), headed by Professor Chala.
Professor Natalya Aksak also joined the event, who actively supported the initiative and took part in communication with schoolchildren.
The event took place in the safe space of the city of Lozovaya, which provided comfortable conditions for all participants. It brought together a significant number of schoolchildren, among whom student-athletes were especially active. Young people listened with interest to the teachers’ presentations, asked questions and participated in discussions.
During the meeting, participants were presented with training opportunities, prospects for professional development and features of educational programs. The schoolchildren showed sincere interest in the proposed areas, which indicates the relevance and importance of holding such events.
The event was organized in agreement with the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the city of Lozovaya, emphasizing its official status and significance for the educational community of the city.

On April 21, qualifying competitions in table tennis were held at the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, based on the results of which the second team of the university was formed to participate in the Kharkov Student League.
Students from different faculties and courses took part in the competition and demonstrated a high level of training, passion for sports and a desire to win. The tournament was a tense competition, and each game was dynamic and emotional.

Second stage of the Kharkov Region Open Chess Cup

The second stage of the Kharkov Region Open Chess Cup (blitz) among men and women took place in Kharkov. The tournament brought together strong and experienced chess players from the region, becoming a real test of skill, quick thinking and psychological fortitude.
The competition was held in a blitz format and consisted of 11 rounds, where each game required maximum concentration, quick reaction and the ability to make decisions under limited time from the participants.
It is especially pleasant to note the successful performance of a student from the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics.
ITINF-24-1 group student Yaroslav Ship demonstrated a high level of preparation, confidence in the game and consistency of results throughout the tournament.
According to the results of the competition, Yaroslav Ship won 1st place, confidently ahead of his rivals and confirming his high sports level.
This achievement is a striking example of the combination of intellectual preparation, sportsmanship and perseverance. The victory of the KNURE student once again confirms the high level of development of sports at the university and the active participation of students in competitions at various levels.

Representatives of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the ARI LBI actively participated in the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Health of the Nation and Improving Physical Education and Sports Education,” which took place on April 15–16, 2026 at the National Technical University of the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute in a remote format.
Participation in the conference was the result of fruitful cooperation between the Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Department of Biomedical Engineering, which confirms the interdisciplinary nature of modern scientific research in the field of health, physical education and digital technologies.
During the conference, a scientific report on the topic was presented
Features of the use of modern video technologies for distance learning and physical rehabilitation. The speaker was the head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oleg Avrunin.
Particular attention in the study is paid to the role of physical education in modern conditions of digitalization of education. Scientists from the Department of Physical Education and Sports focused on the possibilities of using video technologies for the effective organization of distance learning, monitoring the correct performance of physical exercises and assessing the functional state of students.
The results of the study show that the introduction of modern video technologies opens up new prospects for the development of physical education, improving the quality of the educational process and improving physical rehabilitation programs.
Participation in international scientific events helps to improve the level of scientific activity of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of KNURE, expand professional connections and introduce innovative approaches to student training.

For World Health Day, the Department of Physical Education and Sports held an online lecture on the topic “Using the theory of “Anatomical stretches” to restore health during sedentary work.”
The lecturer of the event was Olga Bezyazychnaya – Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor, Rehabilitation Doctor. In her report, she introduced the audience to modern scientific approaches to maintaining health during long-term sedentary work.
During the lecture, the basics of the theory of “Anatomical drives” proposed by T. Myers were discussed, which explains the relationship of myofascial chains in the human body and their role in maintaining correct posture and harmonious functioning of the body. Particular attention was paid to the effect of a sedentary lifestyle and long-term computer work on the musculoskeletal system.
The lecture aroused significant enthusiasm among the participants. During the event, many questions were asked about the prevention of muscle tension, back pain and fatigue while working at the computer. The practical part of the lecture was especially useful – the lecturer demonstrated the exercises live and explained how to perform them correctly to reduce muscle tension in the neck, back, arms and legs.
Conducting such lectures is an important component of popularizing a healthy lifestyle and developing a culture of caring for one’s own health among students and university employees.

On World Health Day (April 07), the Department of Physical Education and Sports together with the Sports Club held an online competition on the “Plank Challenge KNURE”.
The competition participants performed an exercise with straight arms, demonstrating strength, endurance and excellent physical fitness.
Our students showed high results, endurance and true sportsmanship.
Winners among girls:
1st place – Sofia Trubchaninova (group VPS-23-1) – 8 min. 48 p.
2nd place – Daria Basarab (gr. KNT-25-3) – 6 min. 30 s.
3rd place – Anna Kutsevich (group PZPI-25-1) – 5 min. 00 s.

1st place – Konstantin Dudnichenko (gr. ESTM-24-1) – 10 min. 25 s.
2nd place – Denis Konyshev (group PZPI-25-1) – 9 min. 08 s.
3rd place – Danil Bukhantsov (group PZPI-24-3) – 7 min. 20 s.
Student sports are an important component of university life. It helps improve the health of young people, builds discipline, perseverance and team spirit. On April 5, 2026, an Open Day was held at the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, which became a bright event for future applicants and their parents. As part of the event, a ceremonial award ceremony took place for the winners of an online chess tournament among schoolchildren, organized by the department of physical education and sports of the university.
The winners of the tournament were congratulated and awarded by the director of ESI LBI Vitalina Babenko. Schoolchildren who demonstrated a high level of skill and intellectual preparation received honorary insignia and gifts from KNURE: Elizaveta Sharova, Vladislav Polyakov and Mikhail Kashtanov.
The online tournament has become an important part of the new cooperation between the Department of Physical Education and Sports of KNURE and the Kharkov Regional Chess Federation. This cooperation began in accordance with the Memorandum of Partnership signed on April 1, 2026. The document provides for the development of chess sports, the organization of joint tournaments, the popularization of intellectual sports among young people and the attraction of schoolchildren to participate in the educational and sports life of the university.
Hosting an online chess tournament was the first step in implementing this partnership. Such events not only contribute to the development of student sports, but also open up new opportunities for talented youth. The participation of schoolchildren in such tournaments helps them get to know the university, its educational programs and sports infrastructure better.
KNURE pays great attention to the development of student sports, supporting sports initiatives and creating conditions for a harmonious combination of learning and physical activity. Cooperation with regional sports federations allows us to expand the possibilities of holding competitions, training athletes and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Involving schoolchildren in university sporting events is an important component of career guidance work. It is such initiatives that help future applicants feel the atmosphere of the university and realize the choice in favor of studying at KNURE.
