The Association of Sappers of Ukraine conducted training

At the end of November, at the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, the Association of Sappers of Ukraine conducted training for teachers and staff of the university, dedicated to training in the rules of public safety and prevention of risks associated with explosive objects, as well as first aid in case of mine and blast damage. During the event, the participants got acquainted with the main types of hazardous objects, algorithms of actions in case of their detection and typical mistakes that should be avoided. Particular attention was paid to practical training: trainers demonstrated first aid techniques for victims, as well as self-help methods in case of injury.
Participants were provided with recommendations to improve personal safety, taking into account the risks associated with mines and other explosive objects, and stressed the importance of adapting their behaviour to modern living conditions. The training was a useful and informative event that increased the level of preparedness of teachers and staff to act in potentially dangerous situations. From the Department of Physical Education and Sports, the event was attended by the Acting Head of the Department Natalia Didyuk and Senior Lecturer Elena Kryventsova.

ELBI Faculty Open Day

On November 29, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics held an Open Day of the Faculty of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering. The celebration was organized with the active support of the Department of Physical Education and the Student Senate, which gave the event brightness, energy and team spirit, creating an atmosphere of fun, activity and creative interaction for all participants.
The event was bright and interesting, bringing together applicants, schoolchildren and their parents, allowing them to get acquainted with the faculty, its traditions, innovative achievements and educational programs. The guests felt a special atmosphere of creativity and inspiration saw how students apply their knowledge in interesting projects and activities.
Key areas of training were presented in various places – biomedical engineering, physical foundations of electronic engineering, microelectronics and electronic devices. Each area opens up wide opportunities for students to develop themselves, immerse themselves in modern technologies and unlock their own potential. Visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the works of students, demonstrations, interactive workshops and creative activities, creating a festive and friendly atmosphere.
Studying at the Faculty of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering opens up wide horizons for students for professional growth and future careers. The combination of thorough training, practical experience, participation in projects and cooperation with university partners allows applicants to become modern, competitive specialists. The Open Day clearly showed that the Faculty is a center of innovation, creativity and inspiration, a place where every student can realize their potential and confidently step into the world of high technology.

Acrobatic Rock ‘n’ Roll Competition

KhNURE student Timur Khapersky (group AKTSI-25-1) twice placed in the top 4 of the world’s best acrobatic rock ‘n’ roll competitions.
November 1, 2025 – Montelimar (France) World Cup – 4th place among juniors.
November 23, 2025 – Great Goritsa (Croatia) World Championship – 4th place among juniors.


Poltava Region Classic Bench Press Cup

On November 15, 2025, at the Poltava Region Classic Bench Press Cup, Artem Batsman, a student at KIUKI-23-4, won first place among juniors in the 93 kg weight class with a bench press result of 180 kg.

The rector of KNURE presented the cup to the university’s chess team

At a meeting of the rector’s office, NURE Rector Igor Ruban ceremoniously presented the Cup to the university’s national chess team for first place among higher education institutions in the city of Kharkov.
The team included:
Yaroslav Ship – team captain, ITINF-24-1 group;
Ivan Tokarev, KNT-23-1 group; Maxim Pivovarov, EEK-22-1 group.
Natalia Didyuk, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, was especially recognized for her active support of sports development at KNURE, facilitating athlete training and their participation in competitions.

Kharkov Cheerleading Cup

Chess tournament

On November 14, a chess tournament dedicated to International Students’ Day was held in Kharkov.
Eighteen teams from Kharkov higher education institutions participated in the tournament.
The tournament once again demonstrated the strength, talent, and unity of Kharkov’s student chess community.
Thank you to all the players for their character, intellectual challenge, and athletic drive – you made this day truly special.
Three teams from our university participated in the Tournament.
1st place – the first team consisting of:
1. Yaroslav Shipp – captain of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics team, student of the ITINF-24-1 group,
2. Ivan Tokarev, of the KNT-23-1 group,
3. Maxim Pivovarov, of the EEK-22-1 group.
8th place – third place team consisting of:
1. Ivan Vinnikov, group ITSHI-23-2,
2. Egor Patlan, group KSTZI-22-1,

11th place – second place team consisting of:
1. Vladislav Propust, group ITSHI-23-2,
2. Viktor Yavtushenko, group TRIMI-24-1,

Arm wrestling competition

The results of the Kharkov Student Armwrestling League competition held on October 19 have been summed up.
Our University’s competitors were:
Daniil Lutskov, group KIUKI-23-4
Gleb Kopyltsov, group BIBMI-24-1
Maxim Novikov, group MNTMN-24-1
Alexander Polupan, group SPm-25-1
All students reached the competition finals, with Daniil Lutskov and Alexander Polupan taking second and third place.
The KNURE team took second place overall.

Swimming competition SWIM 95
21.10.2025
On October 21, the SWIM 95 swimming competition was held at the Aquarena swimming pool.
Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff members participated in the competition.
These competitions not only honor this important date but also promote a healthy lifestyle, develop physical fitness, and strengthen team spirit among the university community.
The competition participants were congratulated by Yuri Romanenkov, Vice-Rector for Research at Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, Doctor of Engineering, Professor; Oleg Frolenko, Assistant to the Rector; and Maxim Bondarev, General Director of the Aquarena Olympic Center.
The competition was held in a friendly yet intense athletic atmosphere.
43 athletes participated in the 50-meter freestyle.
The winners among students, female athletes, were:

2nd place – Ekaterina Alekseeva, group PZPI-23-4
3rd place – Irina Melnik, group VPVSS-25-1
