Choreographic art competition On November 24, 2024, an international festival was held in the city of Kharkov – choreographic art competition DANCE FEST “Terytoriya Pa”.
Our University student Margarita Cheremukhina (ITSHI-24-2) won 1st place.
Margarita not only performs herself, but also coaches the section where children train.
Margarita Cheremukhina’s children’s team “Flowers crew” took 3rd place.

All-Ukrainian chess team competition: The Kharkov team won two silver medals in the fight On November 16-17, the All-Ukrainian chess team competition was held, in which 24 teams from all over the country took part. Among them was the Kharkov team, which included: Roman Degtyarev, Yaroslav Ship and Ivan Toka. The team managed to get two silver medals in two different disciplines (rapid and blitz). Two players from the team, namely Ship Yaroslav (ITINF-24-1) and Ivan Tokarev (KNT-23-1) are also representatives of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics.
November 16 – rapid (time control 10 minutes + 5 seconds during). There were 9 rounds. Team matches were played on the principle of team points over 3 boards, that is, if, for example, in a match a team won 2 games and lost one, it becomes the winner of the match. With a score of 7.5/9, the Kharkov team took 2nd place.
November 17 – blitz. The rules of the competition are the same, but now there are 11 rounds and the time control is 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move. The Kharkov team scored 10/11, losing only to the Dnepr 1 team in a personal match and thereby winning 2nd place, winning all other matches.
There was a friendly atmosphere at the competition, and the participants had the opportunity not only to demonstrate their skills, but also to exchange experiences with other teams. The competition was held at a high organizational level and all participants expressed gratitude to the organizers for their efforts.

The Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reports that from October 23 to October 31, 2024, the World Summer Gymnasium Games 2024, which takes place every two years, took place in the city of Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.
It was attended by 5400 athletes from 71 countries, competing in 25 sports.
The Ukrainian national team included 134 athletes who competed in 18 sports.
Representatives of the Kharkov region competed in 5 sports and won 6 medals (2 gold and 4 bronze).
These two gold medals for Ukraine were won by a student of our University, Irina Klimenyuk, group KIUKI-24-2, orienteering.

On November 14, the Ukrainian Taekwon-do Championship took place in the city of Kremenchug. In a fierce struggle, our student, group TRIMI-22-1 Daniil Tetenov, Master of Sports of Ukraine, took 3rd place in the sparring section and 3rd place in the tulle section. Congratulations to the bronze medalist of the Ukrainian Championship!

On November 5, 2024, on the eve of Student Day, the Kharkov City Council, under the patronage of Igor Terekhov, held a chess and checkers Tournament in an offline format.
16 universities from Kharkov participated in the Tournament.
The KNURE national team became the winner.
Our students took place in the checkers competition and 1st place in the chess competition.

On October 30, 2024, the Ukrainian Championship in classical powerlifting among students of children’s and youth sports schools was held in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. A student of our university, one of the strongest athletes in the strength sports section, Master of Sports of Ukraine in powerlifting, Alexander Shulepa (KIUKI-21-10), showing excellent results in squats – 245 kg, bench press – 135 kg, deadlift – 260 kg and triathlon total – 640 kg, won gold and became champion in the weight category up to 84 kg at these competitions.

In October 2024, the FIMBA European Basketball Championship took place in Pesaro, Italy. As part of the UK women’s national team, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of KNURE O. Tserkovna took 5th place.

On September 29, 2024, the Kharkov Region Cup with the Cossack Duel took place in Kharkov. A student of the ITINF-23-2 group Vladislava Varvashevich took part in the “Polar Bear” team. According to the results of the competition, she took 1st place in the fun section (semi-contact) and 1st place in the wrestling-1 section (light contact) in the age category of 16-18 years and weight up to 45 kg.

From 26.08 to 29.08.2024 in the city of Kropyvnytskyi there was held the Championship of Ukraine among adults and youth and at the same time the Cup of Ukraine among boys in cycling. Kira Shuban (ITINF-24-1) took part in the team of the Kharkiv region, which took 1st place at the Championship of Ukraine on the “Cyclo-cross” track and 2nd place at the “Complex distance”. At the Cup of Ukraine, 3rd place on the “Trial” track, 1st place on the “Cyclo-cross” track and 2nd place on the “Complex distance”. The team of the Kharkiv region consisting of Kira Shuban and other representatives of the Kharkiv region took 1st place in the Cup of Ukraine at the “Complex distance”, and 2nd place in the overall standings. At the Championship of Ukraine, the team took 3rd place in the overall standings.

On July 6, at the age of 47, Georgy Krukovsky, senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sports, died after a serious and protracted illness.
He has worked at the department since 1.09.2000.
From the very beginning of his work, he showed himself to be an experienced, conscientious worker. He was always friendly to his colleagues, which earned him deep respect among staff and students.
The staff of the Department of Physical Education and Sports expresses deep sorrow and condolences to family and friends.
