12-16.03.2023 in Kamyanets-Podilskyi the championship of Ukraine in classic bench press was held. A student of our university, silver medalist of the European Championship 2023, Vera Popruga (MTTE-20-1) took part in the competition and, with a result of 70 kg in the bench press, became the champion of Ukraine among juniors in her weight category.

On February 25, 2023, the Kharkov Open Championship in classical powerlifting among juniors and juniors was held. Athletes of the strength sports section under the guidance of coach Natalia Didyuk successfully performed at these competitions and won prizes. Larisa Pilyuk (KUIB-20-1) competed among juniors in the weight category up to 52 kg and took 1st place with a triathlon result of 185 kg (65+45+75). Among juniors in the weight category up to 74 kg, Konstantin Bondarenko (YUZP) -21-3) competed and took 2nd place with a result in triathlon of 435 kg (150+115+170), and Rustam Fabrovan (EEPS-19-1) in that in the same age category, but in the weight category up to 83 kg and with a triathlon result of 445 kg (165+110+170) took the honorable 3rd place. We wish further success to the athletes and the coach in further training and conquering even more prestigious competitions!

Evgeniy Fursal (PZPI-22-4) 18.02.2023 competed at the Estonian Classical Powerlifting Championship in the city of Tartu in the weight category up to 74 kg. He showed the best result among young men of his age and weight category. Squats – 175 kg, bench press – 100 kg, deadlift – 205 kg. Since Evgeny is not an Estonian citizen, he competed outside the score, but his triathlon, 480 kg, turned out to be the best and much more than the triathlon of the athlete who won first place.

So, a student of our university, Evgeny Fursal, is the strongest of all young men in Estonia. Congratulations to the athlete on a good result!

16.02.2023 in the city of Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region, the Championship of Ukraine in powerlifting among juniors was held. Oleksandr Shulepa (KIUKI-21-5), a student of our university, one of the strongest athletes in the section of power sports (coach N. Didyuk), candidate for master of sports of Ukraine in powerlifting, showed excellent results in squats – 192.5 kg, in the bench press – 100 kg, in the deadlift – 202.5 kg and in the triathlon – 495 kg, he took third place and became a three-time winner of bronze medals in the weight category up to 74 kg at these prestigious competitions.

On February 12-14 in the city of Brovary the Championship of Ukraine in finswimming was held. Students of our university Ekaterina Vashchenko gr. KIUKI 20-5 and Victoria Uvarova gr. IUSTm-22-2 became the champions of these competitions in their disciplines.

On February 11, in the City of Heroes of Kharkov, a veteran volleyball tournament was held in memory of our countryman, Olympic Champion Yuriy Poyarkov. Despite the difficult time, 12 teams from Poltava, Sumy, Krasny Kut, as well as teams from Kharkov and the region took part in the tournament. Senior lecturer of the Department of PhES Igor Kondratiev took part in this tournament. Among the guests of honor were representatives of the Mayor’s Office, the regional state administration of the Olympic Committee of the Kharkov region. Thanks to the Armed forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to hold such events! Glory to Ukraine !!!

On February 04, 2023, the Championship of the Poltava region in bench press and classic bench press among all ages took place.

Oleksandr Narvatov (PZPI-19-2), a multiple champion of the Kharkov region among juniors and an absolute winner of the competitions in the classic bench press, confirmed his title of the strongest athlete at this championship. In the weight category up to 105 kg with a bench press result of 172.5 kg, he took first place among juniors and for the first time fulfilled the standard of a candidate for the master of sports of Ukraine in powerlifting.

On January 21, 2023, the Championship of the Kharkov region in the classic bench press was held. These competitions were qualifying for the Championship of Ukraine, which will be held in Kamenetz-Podolsky. Athletes of different weight and age categories participated in the competition, not only those who already had titles and titles, but also those who competed for the first time. For a student of our university Konstantin Bondarenko (group PZPI-21-3) this is the second competition in which he took part. In the weight category up to 74 kg, with a body weight of 69.5 kg, Konstantin confidently lifted 105 kg and took 2nd place among juniors in his weight category. The sports year has started well. We wish further success to the athlete, Konstantin Bondarenko and his coach, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education Natalya Didyuk.

On November 18-22, 2022, the Artistic Gymnastics Championship of Ukraine was held in Kyiv.

A student of our University Igor Dishuk, group ITShI-22-4 took on these competitions:

From November 30 to December 1, Ivano-Frankivsk hosted the competitions of the WTF Taekwondo Championship of Ukraine, which was attended by a student of the Faculty of IC Elizaveta Khristenko.

The preparation for this start came in very difficult conditions, without light, water and heating, but despite all the difficulties, Elizabeth managed to show a good result, she won two silver medals at once in different age groups – among adults and youth.

From November 18 to November 21, in the city of Heroes of Odessa, competitions of the Ukrainian Goju-Ryu Karate Championship were held, in which 276 athletes from 12 regions of our state and servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine took part. Yulia Gladskikh, a student of the IRTI Faculty, took the honorable first place as part of the national team of the Kharkov region at the Championship.

November 18 Kharkov mayor Igor Terekhov congratulated the youth on the Student’s Day.
