KNURE student is among the winners of the international artistic gymnastics tournament in Bulgaria

Student of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics Igor Dyshuk, a student of the ITSHI-22-4 group, worthily represented Ukraine on the international stage, winning a silver award at the prestigious Varna Artistic World Challenge Cup 2026 tournament, held in the city of Varna (Bulgaria) from May 7 to 10.
Athletes from around the world took part in the competition, and the competition was very high. Igor Dyshuk demonstrated a high level of training, skill and strength of character, taking pride of place on the podium.
This result is not only a personal achievement of the athlete, but also a significant achievement of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, which supports the development of student sports and creates conditions for combining education with professional sports achievements.
The university is proud of its students who glorify KNURE and Ukraine at the international level, demonstrating perseverance, discipline and desire to win.

Yuri Galtsov passed away

On May 17, at the age of 85, Yuri Galtsov, a 2nd category methodologist at the Department of Physical Education and Sports, died after a serious illness.
Worked at the university since 28.08.1995.
From the very beginning of his work, he showed himself to be an experienced, conscientious worker. He was always friendly to his colleagues, which earned him deep respect among staff and students.
The staff of the Department of Physical Education and Sports expresses deep sorrow and condolences to family and friends.

KNURE national volleyball team – bronze medalists of the “Side-by-side” competition

The national volleyball team of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics performed well in the “Side by Side” competition and won 3rd place among teams from higher education institutions in Kharkov.
During the tournament, the KNURE team demonstrated good team play, cohesion, sportsmanship and a real fighting spirit.

A seminar of football referees was held in Kharkov

On May 6, a seminar of referees and arbitration observers of the Kharkov Regional Football Association was held.
Chairman of the KRFA referee committee, senior lecturer of the KNURE FES department Valery Lisakevich, together with Anatoly Abdula, a member of the UAF referee committee, introduced the participants to the new changes in the Rules of the game of football for the 2026–2027 season.
During the seminar, the referees watched training videos from different matches and compiled a theoretical test.
It is worth noting that Valery Lisakevich is actively restoring and developing football in KNURE. The university’s national team is already taking part in the all-Ukrainian student competition “Side-by-Side”, and the Department of Physical Education and Sports continues to actively popularize football among students.

“Side-by-side” volleyball competitions began in the Kharkov region, uniting teams from educational institutions in the region.
The national team of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics started the tournament confidently and demonstrated good team play, coherence and a fighting spirit.

KNURE student became the champion of the Kharkov region in Cossack duel

On May 3, competitions took place at the Kharkov Region Championship in the Ukrainian national form of martial arts – Cossack duel.
A student of the Faculty of Computer Science of the Kharkov National University of Radioelectronics, Andrey Zub (group PZPI-24-1), took part in the competition and adequately represented his university.
This was the athlete’s first performance among adults, and it turned out to be extremely successful. In the weight category up to 70 kg. Andrey won first place and became the champion of the Kharkov region.

Successful performance of a KNURE student at the Ukrainian Underwater Sports Championship

From April 25 to 30, the Ukrainian Underwater Sports Championship was held in the city of Brovary, which was also a qualifying stage for the World Championship.
A student of the ISTm-24-1 group, Ekaterina Vashchenko, worthily represented the university at national competitions and demonstrated a high level of preparation, endurance and sportsmanship.
According to the results of the championship, the athlete received:
two gold awards and became a two-time champion of Ukraine 2026;
silver medal
This result is a significant achievement and testifies to the persistent work, dedication and high level of training of the athlete.

A KNURE student successfully competed at the Ukrainian Classic Powerlifting Championships.

The Ukrainian Classic Powerlifting Championships took place on April 25, bringing together the strongest athletes from across the country.
Vladislav Maryukhnich, a student in the KIUKI-25-2 group, represented the university at the competition, demonstrating a high level of physical fitness and athletic skill.
Following his performance, the athlete won a small silver medal in the bench press with a lift of 157,5 kg in the 93 kg weight category.
Furthermore, Vladislav achieved the Candidate Master of Sports of Ukraine (CMSU) standard in triathlon, a significant achievement and a testament to his hard work and determination.

Conducting a joint career guidance event for schoolchildren in Bogodukhov

In order to popularize educational programs and familiarize students with educational opportunities, a joint event was held for schoolchildren in Bogodukhov at the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics.
The event was organized by the Department of Information Systems and Technologies (IST) of the Faculty of Information Technology under the leadership of the head of the department, Professor O. Chalaya, as well as the Department of Physical Education and Sports (PES), headed by Associate Professor N. Didyuk.
During the event, presentations were made by the Chairman of the KNURE sports club O. Konovalenko. and Professor of the Department of Information Technology N. Aksak, who introduced schoolchildren to the educational opportunities of the university, the characteristics of training and prospects for professional development.
Participants of the event had the opportunity to learn about the main areas of training, admission conditions, student life and the combination of training with physical activity. Particular attention was paid to the importance of the harmonious development of the individual – both intellectual and physical.
The event was held in a friendly and interactive atmosphere, contributed to increasing students’ interest in obtaining higher education and helped them better navigate their choice of future profession.
Such career guidance initiatives are an important step in forming a conscious choice of the professional path of future applicants.

Successful performance of a KNURE student at the ITF European Taekwon-Do Championship

From April 19 to 25, the ITF European Taekwon-Do Championship was held on the island of Crete (Greece), in which the strongest athletes from different European countries took part.
A student of the ITINF-23-2 group, Vlada Varvashevich, worthily represented the university at international competitions and demonstrated a high level of preparation, strength of character and sportsmanship.
At the end of the championship, the athlete received:
2nd place – sparring (women 18–34 years old, up to 47 kg)
3rd place – team tulle (women 18–34 years old)
The results achieved are a testament to hard work, determination and dedication to the sport.

Successful performance of a KNURE student at the Shotokan Karate-do World Cup

On April 25–26, the Czech Republic hosted the international “World Cup” competition in Shotokan karate-do, which brought together strong athletes from around the world.
A student of the KBICS-23-2 group, Veronica Mokroy, worthily represented her university on the international stage and demonstrated a high level of training and sportsmanship.
According to the results of the competition, Veronica received:
1st place – kata (category U20)
1st place – kata (Senior category)
2nd place – kumite (category U20)
This result is a confirmation of the hard work, fortitude and high level of the athlete.

Victory of a KNURE student at the Ukrainian Championship in acrobatic rock and roll

On April 25, 2026, the Ukrainian Championship in acrobatic rock and roll took place in Kyiv – one of the most prestigious tournaments in the country, uniting the strongest athletes from different regions.
A high level of preparation and a brilliant performance was demonstrated by Timur Khapersky, a student from the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics (group AKTSI-25-1). In a tense competition, he won first place in the Main Class Contact Style category, confirming his high sports class and skill.
The competition was highly competitive, as the Main Class Contact Style category featured athletes of the highest level, demonstrating complex acrobatic elements, speed, technique and artistry. Winning such a category is a significant achievement and demonstrates persistent preparation and dedication to the sport.
In addition to his sporting achievements, Timur Khapersky actively manifests himself in the public life of the university. By his example, he motivates students to play sports and actively participate in university initiatives. He is responsible for sports and mass work in the Student Senate, as well as assistant to the Chairman of the KNURE sports club – Oksana Konovalenko.
This success became the pride of not only the athlete himself, but also the university, because the achievements of students at the all-Ukrainian level increase the prestige of the educational institution and popularize a healthy lifestyle among young people.
