Congratulations on a significant sporting achievement

Congratulations to our student Artem Batsman (group KIUKI-23-8) for completing the Master of Sports of Ukraine standard for the classic bench press in the weight category up to 93 kg.
At the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championship, which is currently taking place in Chernivtsi, Artem showed an excellent result in the bench press – 185 kg, which brought him 3rd place in the competition.
We wish Artem further sporting victories, new records and success, both in sports and in education!

Silver on debut

On February 21, the Regional Powerlifting Championship took place in Kharkov, and we have great news!
Our student Maryukhnich Vladislav (group KIUKI-25-2) – competed for the first time and immediately won a silver medal!
This was his debut at the official start, and the result speaks for itself – strength, character and a real sportsmanship spirit.
We are proud of our athlete and wish him new records, confident climbs and only golden victories ahead!

On February 22, 2026, in Kharkov, a student of the Faculty of Computer Science, Andrey Zub, group PZPI-24-1 won a silver medal at the Kharkov region championship in Cossack duel.

Honoring the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred

Today an event was held to commemorate the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred – courageous Ukrainians who gave their lives for the freedom, dignity and independence of our state.
On this day, students, teachers and university staff gathered together to remember the events of the Revolution of Dignity, honor the feat of the Heroes and once again realize the price that Ukraine paid for the right to be free.
From the Department of Physical Education and Sports, senior teacher Olga Tolstoplyot took part in the event, who, together with colleagues and students, took part in a minute of silence and laying flowers.
The memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred will forever remain in our hearts. Their feat is an example of invincibility of spirit, love for the Motherland and true patriotism.
We remember. Let’s honor it. Let’s continue their work.


Double triumph of KNURE student

Student of the ISTM-24-1 group of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics Ekaterina Vashchenko performed brilliantly at two national competitions at once!
From February 12 to 15, the Ukrainian Cup of Finswimming took place in the city of Brovary (Kupava swimming pool).
Ekaterina’s result:
2 gold medals
2 silver medals
1 bronze medal
In addition to the medal harvest, the athlete set a new Ukrainian record at a distance of 200 meters, surpassing her own national record, which she previously set at the European Finswimming Championships in the summer of 2025.
During the same period, the Ukrainian Freediving Championship took place, where Ekaterina also demonstrated high class and became the Champion of Ukraine in the 2 x 50 m diving distance.
We congratulate Ekaterina Vashchenko on her outstanding achievements and wish her new records and international victories!


Kharkov Cheerleading Championship

Valeria Serdyuk, a student of the KNT-24-3 group of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, won 2nd place in the Kharkov Cheerleading Championship dedicated to Valentine’s Day in the hip-hop solo category.
The competition brought together the city’s strongest representatives, and Valeria’s performance became a real highlight of the tournament. She demonstrated excellent dance technique, high level of preparation, artistry and confidence on stage. Her performance was distinguished by its emotionality, dynamics and bright presentation, which ensured an honorable second place.
Congratulations to Valeria and her coach Svetlana Semashko on the successful start of the new sports year! We wish you further success, inspiration, outstanding performances and victories in all-Ukrainian and international arenas!

Career guidance meeting and preparation for the “Shoulder to shoulder” competition at KNURE

As part of career guidance work and preparation for the All-Ukrainian “Side by Side” competition, the Department of Physical Education and Sports organized a friendly basketball match.
A match took place on the sports ground between the “Treasure” team of the Pesochin Children and Youth Sports School and the KNURE national team. The young athletes attended with their parents, which made the event especially warm and meaningful. Students from Pesochin had the opportunity not only to demonstrate their skills, but also to learn a lot about educational opportunities and student life at the university.
The Department of Physical Education and Sports organized active student-athletes who communicated with schoolchildren in a light, youthful manner, shared their own experiences of admission, training and participation in competitions, proving that KNURE is the best of the best. This format of live dialogue helped create an atmosphere of trust and interest.
Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports N. Didyuk coordinated the event. Students from ESI LBI – Guzenko Veronica and Egor Boyko, group BIBMI-25-1 – actively helped in carrying out career guidance work.
The event became an example of a combination of sports, team spirit and high-quality career guidance work.

On February 10, 2026, the Department of Physical Education and Sports of KNURE held a promotional event of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Laser and Biometric Technology for student-athletes and their coaches, students of the children’s and youth sports school.
During the meeting, future applicants learned about the institute’s specialties, admission conditions, opportunities for combining study and sports, as well as prospects for professional development.
KNURE is a modern education, support for student-athletes and real opportunities for development both in science and in sports.

Open Doors Day at NURE

Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics held an open day for schoolchildren of the Kyiv district of Kharkov. Future applicants got acquainted with the possibilities of studying at KNURE, educational programs and university life from the inside.

Representatives of the department told students that KNURE is not only technology and engineering, but also an active lifestyle. Sports sections, training, competitions, student teams and real victories are all part of the KNURE student experience.
The university supports students who want to combine studies and sports, develop leadership skills, endurance and team spirit. It is sport that helps maintain a balance between studies, health and a vibrant student life.
Schoolchildren actively asked questions about sports opportunities, conditions of classes and student sections, and most importantly, they felt the atmosphere of KNURE as a space for development, movement and self-realization.

Gratitude for the development of science and sports in Kharkov

Today, the director of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports of the Kharkov City Council, Alexander Vlasenko, presented a letter of gratitude to representatives of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics for their active social and professional activities.

Dmitry Konovalov – chairman of the sports club “IT Leader”.
During the presentation, Alexander Vlasenko noted the significant contribution of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of KNURE to the organization and holding of the sports and science fair “Move and Explore,” as well as the high level of professional excellence, the active popularization of science and sports among the youth of Kharkov.
The significance of such activities was especially emphasized under the legal regime of martial law, when support for physical activity, scientific developments and a healthy lifestyle takes on special social significance.
