On August 21, 2022, the XXXVII “Liberation” marathon dedicated to the Liberation Day of Kharkov and the Independence Day of Ukraine, organized by the Marathon Club “Kharkiv” was held in the park of machine builders on the Alley of Glory. Well-known athletes, sports veterans and runners took part in these competitions.

The competition program included a long distance run – 10 km. This discipline was attended by the senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education Didyuk Natalya Aleksandrovna, who is 10 km. ran in 58 minutes and became the champion of the “Liberation” marathon among women.

On August 9, at the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine, a press conference was held by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Sergiy Shkarlet with participants, rectors and representatives of universities represented in the European University Games and the Futsal World Championship. The Minister congratulated the winners and prize-winners of the competitions, among whom was a representative of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, silver medalist of the WTF Taekwondo Games Elizaveta Khristenko.

We are sincerely grateful to the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine for the comprehensive support of university sports in Ukraine. We are confident that with such support, our students will open more than one victory in European and World competitions!

A student of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics Elizaveta Khristenko took part in the Olympic Taekwondo competitions at the European University Games – 2022, which took place in Poland, the city of Lodz, from July 16 to July 30 and won a silver medal.

Denis Chernenko (TRTK-20-2), a student of our university, took part in the Open Championship of the Zhytomyr region in rowing on boats “Dragon” on July 30, 2022 as part of the national team.

Medals were awarded in two disciplines:

From July 18 to July 23, the World Finswimming Championship was held in Colombia, the city of Cali. Our student of the group KN-18-6 Victoria Uvarova  won prizes in the following disciplines:

100 m fin swimming – 3rd place.

On July 17, the official opening ceremony of the European University Games – 2022 took place. The main sports arena of the Polish city of Lodz, Atlas Arena, could hardly accommodate those wishing to attend the opening of the sports festival.

This year, about 5,000 athletes from 40 countries of the world, representing 400 universities in their countries, are taking part in the European University Games. Ukraine is represented by 234 students from 45 leading universities of the country, among which is a student of KNURE Elizaveta Khristenko.

April 23-24 World Cup was held in the city of Leipzig (Germany) in finswimming.

A 2nd year student of the faculty of KIU Ekaterina Vashchenko and a 4th year student of the faculty of CS Victoria Uvarova took 2nd place in relay swimming.

Today the whole world joins in the celebration of the International Day of Sports for Peace and Development!

Dear students! Department of PhES starts distance learning. Considering the conditions and condition of all of us today, we offer you our classes as one of the ways to deal with stress. During a workout, you can at least briefly disconnect from the endless stream of news and shift the focus of attention to the body. In addition, regular physical activity will help keep the body in good shape and will contribute to better health and emotional state. Therefore, if possible, at least small sets of exercises should be included in the daily routine. Start with short workouts. Recover gradually and remember that even 10 minutes of sports a day is better than nothing.

KIU faculty student Yekaterina Vashchenko (gr. KIUKI-20-5) took third place in the 100m distance at the first (FISU) World Cup in Finswimming, held on April 1-2 in Lignano Sabba, Italy.

Congratulations to the student of the group KIUKIu-21-1 of the faculty of KIU Daria Lichman with the victory in the Kharkov Open Cheerleading Championship among adults, which took place on 12.02.2022.
