Congratulations to the student of the ITINF-19-1 group Bosenko Artem with a successful performance at the Ukrainian armwrestling championship. Artyom took 2nd place at these competitions and for the first time fulfilled the standard of a candidate for master of sports of Ukraine in armwrestling.

On May 14, a grand opening of a new educational and scientific laboratory of sports medicine and physical rehabilitation of the Department of Biomedical Engineering took place at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. The opening of the only laboratory of sports medicine and physical rehabilitation in Kharkiv became possible thanks to the international cooperation of the BME Department, the assistance of the administration of the University of Radio Electronics and the Department of Physical Education and Sports. “The opening of the laboratory for us is connected with the most important events: last year NURE celebrated its 90th anniversary, this year – the 50th anniversary of the BME department. In the nearest future, the laboratory will be named “Motorica” – said Oleg Avrunin, scientific director of the laboratory, Professor, laureate of the State Prize, head of the BME Department. The activities of the laboratory will contribute to the expansion of the subject of scientific research, to the achievement of fundamental results with a high degree of novelty will create the necessary conditions for the training of qualified specialists, uniting the potential of the two departments, and will also, support and promote a healthy lifestyle at all levels of activity and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals. Within the framework of the University’s Development Strategy, aimed at increasing scientific potential, promoting in world rankings, preserving health and well-being, the laboratory is equipped with modern sports and diagnostic equipment, with the help of which you can not only conduct research but also maintain a sports form, therefore we invite everyone to join scientific work and training.

In May 2021, in the village of Chikalovka, the Championship of Ukraine in rock climbing among students on natural terrain was held in the form of an all-around program. The winner of the CMS in rock climbing is Klim Sotnikov (group IUSTm-20-1), taking 1st place.

On the weekend of May, KNURE students from the sports tourism section went on a training trip around their native land. Tourists received practical skills of crossing the river, knitting a stretcher, lighting a fire and other aspects of being a tourist.

Students Veronika Roshka and Veronika Govorova won the European Championship in Cossack duel, which took place from 23 to 25 April c. Kharkov in the sports palace “Lokomotiv”.

KNURE students took part in the annual “Pyatikhatki marathon” 25.04.2021. The winner at a distance of 10 km was Evgeny Shovkovyi, gr. ITSHI-19-2, silver was won by Kirill Redkin, gr. AKTAKIT-20-2! Coach T. Zakhvatova. Congratulations to the guys and wish them further victories !!!

Representatives of the department took part in the scientific and practical conference “Rehabilitation and Prosthetics/Orthotics of the XXI century. Problems, prospects and international standards for the restoration of physical activity”.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Prosthetics, on April 15, 2021, a scientific and practical conference “Rehabilitation and Prosthetics/Orthotics of the 21st Century. Problems, prospects and international standards for the restoration of physical activity”.

Vadim Skrabtsov, a student of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, took first place in the Kharkiv Region Youth Boxing Championship in the 60 kg weight category. The competition took place from 8 to 10 April.

From 3 to 6 April 2021, the Ukrainian championship in classic bench press was held in Khmelnitsky. Our students of the KNURE national powerlifting team performed among the strongest athletes in the country.

CMSU Victoria Akhremenko (ITSHI-17-1) in the weight category up to 57 kg, with a result of 65 kg, took 2nd place, CMSU Igor Lukienko (AKTSIu-18-2) in the weight category up to 59 kg, with a result of 110 kg, took 3rd place, Alexander Narvatov (PZPI-19-2) in the weight category up to 105 kg in a bitter struggle, with a result of 150 kg, also took 3rd place. And Ivan Gritsenko (KIUKI-18-5) in the weight category up to 74 kg was one step away from the prize-winning place, with a personal record in the bench press of 132.5 kg, Ivan took 4th place.

02.04.21 a volleyball tournament among men’s teams, the Cup in memory of Valentina Sviridova (rector of KhIRE 1984-1994) took place.
