On May 11-14, 2021, the III International Symposium “Education and Health of the Younger Generation” was held, dedicated to the Day of Europe in Ukraine and the 15th anniversary of training a teacher of the basics of health in Ukraine.

Symposium organizers:

On June 22, at the Memorial of Glory, a race “Memory and Sorrow” took place in honor of those killed during the Second World War. KNURE students took part in it. In the 10 km race, Izzat Aliyev (Faculty of ACT) took 1st place, Evgeny Shovkovoj (Faculty of KN) became the second! Congratulations to the guys and wish them further victories!

From June 11 to June 13, 2021 in Kyrylivka, competitions of the Ukrainian national championship among students in the Ukrainian national sport – horting were held, in which Veronika Roshka, Veronika Govorova and Mikhail Silaichev took part. In tough competitive fights with representatives of other higher educational institutions, they won two gold and silver medals, as well as the right to represent Ukraine in international competitions.

Congratulations to Popruga Vera with a successful performance at two Ukrainian classic powerlifting championships. A student of KNURE (1st year, group MTTE-20-1) managed to win 5 medals.

Congratulations to Vera Popruga with a successful performance at the European Championship in drafts-64 among youth and the stage of the World Cup in drafts-64 among women. A student of KNURE (1st year, group MTTE-20-1) in the Turkish city of Kusadasi was able to win two medals.

Congratulations to Maria Berdnik with a successful performance in the title tournament of the international level “Konsalt Chess Masters” in chess. A 1st year student of the faculty of KN (group PZPI-20-5-English stream) in the city of Cherkassy took 4th place and fulfilled the last standard of a female international master, gaining 1 point more than the norm.

World No Tobacco Day is celebrated around the world on May 31. Global No Tobacco Day is part of the UN system of global and international days. In 2021, this day will be held under the slogan “Time to Quit Tobacco”. Its goal is to draw attention to the problems of 8,000,000 smokers in Ukraine who need help to quit smoking.

2006 Ukraine joined the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.

Congratulations to the student of the ITINF-19-1 group Bosenko Artem with a successful performance at the Ukrainian armwrestling championship. Artyom took 2nd place at these competitions and for the first time fulfilled the standard of a candidate for master of sports of Ukraine in armwrestling.

On May 16, 2021, an open regional sambo wrestling tournament was held in the sports complex of the NAU “KhAI”. KNURE athletes won silver medals!

On May 14, a grand opening of a new educational and scientific laboratory of sports medicine and physical rehabilitation of the Department of Biomedical Engineering took place at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. The opening of the only laboratory of sports medicine and physical rehabilitation in Kharkiv became possible thanks to the international cooperation of the BME Department, the assistance of the administration of the University of Radio Electronics and the Department of Physical Education and Sports. “The opening of the laboratory for us is connected with the most important events: last year NURE celebrated its 90th anniversary, this year – the 50th anniversary of the BME department. In the nearest future, the laboratory will be named “Motorica” – said Oleg Avrunin, scientific director of the laboratory, Professor, laureate of the State Prize, head of the BME Department. The activities of the laboratory will contribute to the expansion of the subject of scientific research, to the achievement of fundamental results with a high degree of novelty will create the necessary conditions for the training of qualified specialists, uniting the potential of the two departments, and will also, support and promote a healthy lifestyle at all levels of activity and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals. Within the framework of the University’s Development Strategy, aimed at increasing scientific potential, promoting in world rankings, preserving health and well-being, the laboratory is equipped with modern sports and diagnostic equipment, with the help of which you can not only conduct research but also maintain a sports form, therefore we invite everyone to join scientific work and training.

In May 2021, in the village of Chikalovka, the Championship of Ukraine in rock climbing among students on natural terrain was held in the form of an all-around program. The winner of the CMS in rock climbing is Klim Sotnikov (group IUSTm-20-1), taking 1st place.
